It’s a common enough occurrence: the company held an employee Christmas party at its restaurant and provided free liquor to employees and their guests. A manager distributed bonuses and gifts to employees. Employees danced to music provided by a hired band. At the end of the evening, it was apparent that one employee was too intoxicated to drive. A supervisor offered her a ride home, which she accepted. But they didn’t go home, at least not directly. Training your employees on the use of Automated External Defibrillators can prove quite useful. This is what three associates at Hotel Del Coronado in California recently found out.

Dispatching Officer Victor Magana who has experience working with the Department of Homeland Security and is a Certified First Responder at Southwestern College agreed with hotel security officer Richard Eubueng and added, “Being trained with the AED machine was an asset to our valued guest. Security and any other department working as a team can achieve all matters.”
