If you remain in the hospitality industry, there are several facts of life you’re going have to deal with at some point in your career. One of these is a law enforcement officer or a process server coming through the door with a subpoena or a summons. Preparing for these situations beforehand will not make them fun experiences, but will help reduce the stress experienced at the moment.
What do you do when you’re presented with one of these legal documents? Eventually, you probably either will show up in court or produce the papers (records) the document orders you to produce. But the important thing is that you should have a plan detailing a course of action upon receipt of such a document.
