Paralegal

Houston, Texas

This position is for an experienced paralegal that will be working with highly confidential information and performing work in the areas of litigation, employment law, licensing, and commercial leases.  The paralegal’s duties will typically include analyzing facts; composing initial drafts of documents; interviewing witnesses; preparing case summaries; and conducting basic legal research.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Licensing

  • Draft, prepare, review, revise, and monitor city/state/county/town licenses and permits including building permits, business/ foodservice/liquor licenses, and state tax ID for new and existing locations
  • Follow-up with responsible parties apprising them of upcoming license/permit expirations and assist with terminations/ renewals/ extensions
  • Primary contact for all communication of licenses/permits issues and disputes

Litigation

  • Assist Legal Counsel with matters in the areas of employment law, personal tort liabilities, contract disputes, and other legal areas as needed
  • Gather documentation and conducts necessary investigation (including accident or employment investigations, obtain investigative reports and photographs, locate witnesses, interview witnesses, and organize and summarize witness statements) throughout the course of litigation
  • Maintain, track and routinely update general litigation, claims, and administrative case/file status

Real Estate - Commercial Leases

  • Manage portfolio and database of all leased properties
  • Liaison with landlords and insurance brokers regarding certificates of insurance, estoppel certificates, SNDA’s, mechanics liens and all non-rent related matters
  • Research  and analyze issues related to various lease provisions

Director of Loyalty Marketing

Landry’s Restaurants, a leader in the casual dining restaurant industry, owns and operates casual dining restaurants including, Landry’s Seafood House, Babin’s, Grotto, Willie G’s, Rainforest Cafe, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Downtown Aquarium and the Kemah Boardwalk to name a few.  Landry’s Restaurants has an open position for an experienced Director of Loyalty Marketing at our Corporate Headquarters in the Galleria area of Houston, TX.  We need high caliber, experienced individuals to join our organization.  If your skills and talents are a match for our needs, we can open the door to career opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and analyzing results from the CRM and Customer Loyalty programs.  Duties also include analytics, direct marketing and data driven market initiatives.  The results driven position requires creativity, analytical expertise and attention to detail. 

Other Duties Include:

  • Manage multi-unit marketing personnel through follow up on the company’s CRM/Loyalty programs.
  • Build loyalty retention among Landry’s guests
  • Develop and maintain all management and operational reporting of loyalty club and database list activity
  • Actively and continually enhance the loyalty club in order to drive value for club membership.  This includes development of hard and soft benefits through sourcing and negotiating with partners.  Review, develop and analyze program rewards, guidelines and customer communications.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required.  A minimum of 15 years in marketing, preferably in the restaurant or casino industry and 5 years of successful experience administering a Marketing/CRM department.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: The qualified candidate must have led at least one CRM/customer segmentation from the client side. Retail experience preferred.  Candidate must possess rigorous analytic background that includes an in-depth understanding of best analytical practices in direct and interactive environments and demonstrate the ability to constantly monitor results and refine marketing approaches accordingly.  Results-oriented direct marketing and frequency/loyalty expert with the ability to plan, launch and implement initiatives to attract, retain and grow loyalty club members.

The  qualified candidate will have excellent communication skills.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking hands-on environment.  Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship will all individuals; listens carefully and has the ability to perform as a team member.
